The Research Foundation of the Hospital General de Valencia Opens Four MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship Positions in Clinical and Translational Research

The Research Foundation of the Hospital General Universitario de Valencia (FIHGUV) is actively seeking outstanding postdoctoral researchers to join three internationally recognized research groups as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 call.
FIHGUV is a biomedical research institution embedded within one of Spain’s leading university hospitals, the Consorci Hospital General Universitari de València (CHGUV), serving a catchment population of approximately 390,000 people in the Valencia region.
Its mission is to promote, facilitate and support high-quality biomedical research, clinical trial coordination, and the transfer of scientific knowledge into clinical practice. As a research foundation, the FIHGUV act as the institutional framework that enables the investigators to develop competitive national and international research, connecting clinical excellence with scientific innovation.
Available Research Lines
FAREPI — Pharmacology of Respiratory and Skin Diseases
Translational pharmacology group specialising in respiratory and skin diseases, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, asthma, COPD, and fibrosing dermatological conditions, with state-of-the-art human ex vivo platforms and an active portfolio of national and European projects.

LIBROG — Biomarkers in Reproduction, Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Research group focused on prognostic biomarker discovery in gynaecological oncology and endometriosis, with a priority on NETosis and cancer metastasis, direct access to a high-quality gynaecological biobank, and established international collaborations.

iPediTec — Paediatrics, Innovation, Translation and Technology in Childhood Obesity
IPs: Empar F. Lurbe, Julio Alvarez Pitti
ESH-recognised Centre of Excellence in paediatric cardiovascular risk and childhood obesity, combining a fully operational clinical platform (PAIDO Programme) with molecular and digital health research, and active participation in Horizon Europe projects.

Multidisciplinary oncology group specialising in liquid biopsy, circulating tumour DNA, and patient-derived organoid models, with a biobank of over 10,000 samples and one of only three liquid biopsy diagnostic services in the Valencian Community

Candidates interested in joining one of our research groups as an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow are kindly requested to send an email with a formal expression of interest and attached your CV to villa_cam@fihguv.es no later than 15 July 2026, in order to explore potential research projects and initiate the proposal co-design process ahead of the September deadline.
Applications are open to researchers of any nationality who hold a PhD and have a maximum of 8 years of postdoctoral experience. Mobility requirements apply: candidates must not have resided in Spain for more than 12 months in the last 3 years.
